Chandler Nature Photo Contest 2022-2023

The 2022-2023 Chandler Nature Photo Contest will begin on July 1st, 2022. You can participate by submitting photos, voting, or both!

Photographers: you are encouraged to submit 3 photos for the best chance of making it to the final round of competition. The top 20 photographers who receive the most votes (from the combined total of all 3 of their photos) will advance to the in-person round of voting and their photos will be printed for display in the Chandler Nature Center. Photographers, you also have the opportunity to vote (and yes, you can vote for your own photos, both online and in-person)!

Voters: You are given 50 dots to apply to the photos you like the most! You can add 1-10 dots on each photo that you want to vote for. When you've used up all 50 dots, you are done with the online voting. You can return to change your online vote at any time before February 28th. In-person votes cannot be changed.

Prizes: The top three photographers will win gift cards and receive a placement ribbon: 1st place will receive a $100 gift card, 2nd place will receive a $50 gift card, and 3rd place will receive a $25 gift card. Honorable mention ribbons will be awarded for 4th-10th place. Be sure to use valid contact information so we can communicate event updates to you!

Important dates:

July 1 -November 30 2022: photos can be added to the contest

December 1 2022 -February 28 2023: photo submission closed; online voting available

March 1 -April 29 2023: online voting closed; in-person voting ONLY at Chandler Nature Center

May 8 -12 2023: awards are placed on photos and participants are contacted

May 15-19 2023: photos and prizes available to be picked up at Chandler Nature Center (4050 E Chandler Heights Rd, Chandler AZ 85249). The Nature Photo Contest website will also be updated this week or the next with the winners.

By submitting photos for the Nature Photo Contest, You hereby irrevocably consent to and authorize the use and reproduction by the City of Chandler or anyone authorized by the City of Chandler of any and all photographs. These photographs may be used for any purpose whatsoever, without compensation.
