Voting guidelines for Judges

1- Create Pollunit Account

2- Each photo must be evaluated based on these three elements: Composition, lighting technique and photographic technique.

- The lighting technique is the use of artificial light and natural light, in the case of Macro photography this also refers to the use of devices such as snoot or backlighting.

- The photographic technique is not only the correct exposure of the photo, but also the use of particular settings in the camera (Picture Control, for example) such as multi-exposure, controlled and creative blur, the use of slow shutter speeds.

- The composition is the correct arrangement of each element that makes up the photo and its harmony with the light.

3- If a photo has none of these parameters, it must be evaluated from 1 to a maximum of 3.

4- If a photo is missing one or two of these parameters, the vote must be between no more than

5- If a photo contains all these parameters and is in full agreement with the category in which it participates, it must have a vote between 8 and 10.

6- It is always important to see if the photo is in accordance with the category in which it participates, the only exception in the Compact category which cannot be evaluated if you do not have the EXIF ​​data of the photo in the competition.

7- You could show the metadata of the photo by clicking on the three dots beside each photo

8- On some photos, on the proposal of the President of the Jury, there could be a conditional evaluation; this reserve allows the judges to better evaluate the photo ONLY after receiving the original file or by requesting it earlier. Some contestants always try to cheat the contest jury.

9- The signed photos are all to be disqualified, the disqualification is NOT by voting for that photo because it is contrary to the regulation. The same goes for any other photo that violates the contest rules.
