      The Art of Science contest celebrates the beauty that can emerge during scientific exploration. UC San Diego and UC San Diego affiliate undergraduate, graduate, postdoctoral, and faculty researchers were invited to submit images and graphics directly related to their research along with a title and a caption that describes their research in a way that is both engaging and accessible to non-scientists.


      How to Vote

      • Scroll down and click "Like" below your favorite image.
      • Click the blue Save and Finish button that appears in the white banner at the bottom of your browser window.
      • One vote per person.


      Viewing tips:

      • Click on an image to enter full window view. 
      • Display title and caption information for all images by clicking the information (“i”) icon located in the lower right corner of any image. 
      • To view a slideshow of all images, click on any image, then press the play button.


      Winning images will be announced on May 24.
