YPP USA 2026 Photo Contest
Welcome to the YPP USA 2026 Photo Contest! Submit your best photo in one of the four categories to have a chance at winning a prize. Prizes will be provided to the top voted submission in each category. In the photo description, please clearly state which category you're submitting the photo towards. Please read the entry rules and the photo category details listed below.
1. Sustainability & Environmental Care
Photos highlighting environmental protection, conservation, land restoration, wildlife considerations, or sustainable practices related to the pipeline industry.
2. Integrity, Construction & Execution
Photos capturing pipeline construction activities, including excavation, welding, trenchless installation, tie-ins, or field execution from ground level or aerial views, inspection tools, integrity management, data collection, technologies etc.
3. Young Professional Leaders at work
Photos showcasing young professionals showing leadership in the pipeline industry through field work, engineering, operations, or project support.
4. Best Overall
Awarded to the highest-voted photo across all categories that best represents the pipeline industry.
Entry Rules
1. Originality: All submitted photos must be original works taken by the participant. No copyrighted or previously published photos are allowed.
2. Consent for Faces: Photos that include identifiable faces must have written consent from the individuals depicted. Submissions without proper consent will be disqualified.
3. Company Logos: Photos of company logos must have prior written consent from the parent company. Unauthorized photos will not be accepted.
4. Facility Permissions: Photos of energy facilities (e.g., power plants, refineries) must have prior written consent from the parent company. Unauthorized photos will not be accepted.
5. Safety Compliance: All photos must be taken in compliance with safety regulations. Photos depicting unsafe practices or violations of safety protocols will be disqualified.
6. Environmental Respect: Photos should not depict any harm to the environment. Participants must ensure that their photography does not disturb wildlife or damage natural habitats.
7. No Digital Manipulation: Minor editing (e.g., brightness, contrast) is allowed, but significant digital manipulation (e.g., use of AI, preset filters or removal of elements) is prohibited.
8. Submission Format: Photos must be submitted in high-resolution digital format (JPEG or PNG) with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI.
9. Caption Requirement: Each photo must be accompanied by a brief caption (up to 100 words) describing the subject and context of the photo.
10. Deadline: Photos must be submitted by April 29th, 2026.
Winners of the categories will be announced and awarded a prize at the YPP Symposium on May 7th, 2026. All qualified entries will be on display between sessions during the Symposium.
