Dancing Stars At The Ranch

Foley Ranch is Hosting a Fun Dance Contest sponsored by Kimes Ranch Jeans! Join us for this fun and exciting contest to show off your Dancing abilities. 

A 8 week week competition with 5 weeks of prelims followed up by 2 weeks of semi-finals and the finals held the final week. 3 winning teams will be announced at the conclusion of the preliminary shows and advance to the semi’s round. 

1st Prelim will be held Tuesday, October 1st!

Dance Format: Minimum Team is Two Dancers, Max is 4 Dancers. Dance style will be labeled Country Freestyle, but be limited to 2 Step, Swing or Line Dance. Prizes are fixed and will be split amongst the team! You can also perform 2 different dance styles in the same evening, but you must use the same partner. If you’re competing with swing dancing, you MUST have a partner, but it does NOT have to be a male/female team! As long as you have fun, all combinations of dancers are welcome.

Judging. This is a Fun competition and Not a Technical one, and will be judged as such. Criteria for judging will be based on: Style, Enthusiasm, Creativity and audience participation. We want to encourage those of you who dance as a hobby, because it helps you destress, it’s a fun way to meet people, etc. etc. to push yourself out of your comfort zone! This is not a competition for someone who wants to simply “be the best.” 

• Fun: were you smiling, laughing, interacting with the crowd, and just overall just having a great time? 
• Personality: show off who you are! This can be through dance moves, costumes/outfits, song choice, whatever you want! We want to see who YOU are through your dancing
• Originality & Creativity: we know all the popular dance and dance moves, but show us how you make it your own! Dress to impress, or dress to entertain
• Overall dance: does everything flow, do you and your partner(s) connect (if applicable), 

• Crowd Reaction: get the crowd clapping, ohhing and ahhing… bring all your friends to hype you up! This will count big towards the overall scoring AND they will get to vote, too! 

Prizes: Sponsored by Kimes Ranch! All finalists (8 Teams) will received Kimes Merch. Champion Team will also receive $400 and 2nd Place will receive $200 and 3rd Place will receive $100. 

To Enter:

Submissions must be in the video format and uploaded here. Doesn’t have to be a “professional” video. Can be taken on your normal dance night out. Video is just to show off your moves and how much fun you have! We want to know that competitors are taking this seriously. All uploads become the property of Foley Ranch. Participants will be notified a minimum of 4 days prior to scheduled performance date.
