Age with Attitude Photo Contest
To celebrate Older Americans Month in May, the Aroostook Agency on Aging invites photographers of all ages to participate in Age with Attitude, a community photo contest celebrating older adults, creativity, and life in rural Maine.
There are two ways to participate:
- All-Ages Photographer: Open to individuals of any age and skill level, amateur or professional; photos must feature older adults (ages 60+) doing something they love in Maine. Photographers under age 18 must have parental or guardian consent to participate.
- Older Adult Photographer: Open to photographers age 60+; photos may be of any subject, highlighting their artistic perspective.
Selected photos will be professionally printed and exhibited throughout the month of May, with a special reception during the First Friday Art Walk, May 1, 2026. Awards will be given in each category, along with a People’s Choice Award selected through public voting. Each voter may cast one vote per category. Submit your photos by April 15, 2026, and help us celebrate aging with creativity, confidence, and attitude. (Please note that Agency employees and their immediate family members are welcome to submit photos but are not eligible for prize awards.)
