Halloween Kids Costume Contest 2026

Join the Fun — Everyone’s Welcome!

Entry: Absolutely FREE!

Registration Opens: October 31 at 8:00 AM for both Kids and Adults.

Submission Deadlines:

• Kids Contest: 6:00 PM
• Adults Contest: 7:00 PM

All costume entries and photos must be submitted before the applicable deadline.

Contest Categories

Both age groups can compete in the following categories:

• Funniest Costume
• Scariest Costume
• Best Pair/Group Costume
• Overall Favorite Costume

Note: To keep things fun and fair, each category needs at least 3 participants per age group to run. Kids and adults are counted separately, so bring your friends and gather your crew!

Costume Photo Submissions

Show off your costume and let your creativity shine!

• Photo Limit: Each contest entry can include up to 3 photos.
• Photo Descriptions: Participants may add a description to each individual photo. (Descriptions are optional.)



Please make sure your costume entry and photos are submitted before your age group's deadline.

Winners & Prizes

Kids Contest

• Winners Announced: 6:30 PM
• Location: Department Information Tent at Alpine Park

Adults Contest

• Winners Announced: 7:30 PM
• Location: Department Information Tent at Alpine Park

Please refer to the Halloween Map to locate the Department Information Tent. Staff can help direct participants to the correct location.

Prizes

• 1st Place: One $50 gift card to a local Salida business
• 2nd Place: One $25 gift card to a local Salida business
• 3rd Place: Two free day passes to the Salida Aquatic Hot Springs Center

Present-to-Win Requirement: Participants must be present when winners are announced to claim their prizes. If a selected winner is not present, the prize will be awarded to the next eligible winner.
