Celebrating Our Iñupiaq Values

SNC Shareholders and Descendants are invited to showcase photos of how you celebrate some of our Inupiaq values. These images will help us to tell a story of the enduring legacy of our people and the tenacity instilled in us. Through your lens, we hope to see all the different ways you honor and celebrate our Inupiaq values. Do you have historical photos? We’d LOVE to see them! This expansive region is rich with culture, heritage and history. Shareholders can submit under any or all categories, each a Sitnasuak Inupiaq Value:

· Kammakłui Nunamiituat – Reverence Toward Nature

· Puyaunau Inupiaqtun Iłłusiq – Pride in Culture

· Pikkaagupsi Aitturalui – Sharing

Participants may submit as many photos as they wish, including family historical photos that align with these photo categories. At the close of the photo submission, each category will feature a winner drawn at random. Winners will receive a $100 cash gift card for their participation.  

To participate, please submit photos through this “Sitnasuak Inupiaq Values” portal.

*Please note: this site is most user-friendly with a cell phone/smartphone, but participants can also use a tablet or laptop/desktop to submit their photos. 

Please include the following details for each photo submitted: 

· Category 

· Month and Year when the photo(s) were taken, if possible

· Location of the photo(s), if possible 

· Shareholders and/or Descendants in the photo(s), if applicable

Photo Requirements: 

· Label photos by “Last Name, First Initial _ Photo Name”. Example: “Doe, J._Berry Picking” 

· Photos must be 300 dots per inch or 300 DPI for optimal visual quality 

· Photos must fit into at least one of the submission categories

Deadline: Photos must be submitted before 5:00 PM on May 29, 2026, to be eligible for prize(s). 

Additional Information: 

1.     For those using a laptop or desktop, you will find the scroll bar within the grey submission field and not on the far right of the screen, where it usually is located. 

2.     Descendants should also include in the photo description which Shareholder they are related to. *This will help our team with the verification process to be eligible for prize(s). 

3.     Photos submitted may be featured in online and print marketing such as SNC’s corporate website at snc.org, social media platforms, SNC’s Quarterly Venture Newsletter, SNC Messengers as well as materials for SNC’s Annual Meeting of Shareholders, and more.
