Forest Guardians (Veterans & Berners In Memoriam)
Anyone who has shared life with an aging Berner knows our veterans are magic. Every white eyebrow, every slow wag, every gentle nudge — they are living stories. We are lucky to get gray faces in this breed. We are lucky to walk beside them. And they deserve to be celebrated.
The "Forest Guardians" category honors our cherished veterans — Berners 7 years and older — those beloved companions who are now by our side or watching over us from the trails beyond. Those who have carried us through seasons, adventures, heartbreaks, and joys. The ones who shaped our hearts. The ones who stayed as long as they could. They are wise. They are wondrous. They are our Guardians.
