About Women in Geothermal (WinG)

Women in Geothermal (WinG) is a vibrant, global volunteer organization dedicated to the education, professional development, and advancement of women in the geothermal sector. Our mission is to ignite passion and courage, making the geothermal community a global model for equality. Since our founding in 2013, we’ve grown to over 3,000 members in more than 80 countries, united in our goal of achieving gender equality in the geothermal industry.

Contest Description

"Snap & Shine: Capturing Energy in Motion" is your chance to showcase the vibrant and diverse roles of women in geothermal energy. We encourage you to submit photos that highlight your work, achievements, and the unique perspectives you bring to the geothermal sector. Winning photos will be featured in our presentations, at conferences, and in various WinG promotional materials, helping to inspire and educate others about the vital contributions of women in this field.

How to Enter

Eligibility: Open to all WinG members.

Theme: Capture the spirit of women in geothermal—whether it’s in the field, the lab, the office, at conferences, or engaging with the community.

Submission: Submit up to three high-resolution photos in JPEG or PNG format.

Submission Period: All entries must be received by 06/30/2024.

Voting Period: All voting must be done by 07/30/2024

Rules and Guidelines

Originality: Photos must be original and not previously published.

Permission: By submitting, you grant WinG the right to use, reproduce, and display your photos in presentations, conferences, and promotional materials.

Content: Reflect WinG’s core values; empowering, courageous, caring, and open.

Judging: Entries will be judged by you according to their creativity, quality, theme suitability and how well they convey WinG's mission and vision.

Prizes: Winning photos will be showcased in WinG materials, and the top three winners will receive special recognition at our annual Global WING awards.
