YPP 2025 Photo Contest
Welcome to the YPP USA 2025 Photo Contest! Submit your best photo in one of the four categories to have a chance at winning a prize. Prizes will be provided to the top voted submission in each category. In the photo description, please clearly state which category you're submitting the photo towards. Please read the entry rules and the photo category details listed below.

Most voted for photo out of the four categories.
2. Environmental Stewardship
Photos that show the responsible use and protection for the environment. Includes conversation and sustainable practices, well-being of the ecosystem, etc., as it relates to the pipeline industry
3. Innovation and Technology
Photos showcasing technology as it relates to the pipeline industry. Includes tools, equipment, techniques, integrity, etc.
4. Pipeline Construction
Photos which showcase pipeline construction from excavation to install/welding, trenchless methods. Can include overhead shots, "boots on the ground" etc.
5. Safety in Action
Photos that showcase best practices in safety in the pipeline industry. Includes PPE, work zone safety, images that relate to safe practices, etc.
Entry Rules
1. Originality: All submitted photos must be original works taken by the participant. No copyrighted or previously published photos are allowed.
2. Consent for Faces: Photos that include identifiable faces must have written consent from the individuals depicted. Submissions without proper consent will be disqualified.
3. Company Logos: Photos of company logos must have prior written consent from the parent company. Unauthorized photos will not be accepted.
4. Facility Permissions: Photos of energy facilities (e.g., power plants, refineries) must have prior written consent from the parent company. Unauthorized photos will not be accepted.
5. Safety Compliance: All photos must be taken in compliance with safety regulations. Photos depicting unsafe practices or violations of safety protocols will be disqualified.
6. Environmental Respect: Photos should not depict any harm to the environment. Participants must ensure that their photography does not disturb wildlife or damage natural habitats.
7. No Digital Manipulation: Minor adjustments for clarity (e.g., brightness, contrast) are allowed, but significant digital manipulation (e.g., adding or removing elements) is prohibited.
8. Submission Format: Photos must be submitted in high-resolution digital format (JPEG or PNG) with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI.
9. Caption Requirement: Each photo must be accompanied by a brief caption (up to 100 words) describing the subject and context of the photo.
10. Deadline: Photos must be submitted by May 16th, 2025.
Winners of the categories will be announced and awarded a prize at the YPP Symposium on May 29th, 2025. All qualified entries will be on display between sessions during the Symposium.
