Board Voting

Alongside community and fan voting, a small group of board members are entrusted with deciding four key award categories. These categories recognise work that can be harder to measure through popularity alone and deserve thoughtful consideration.

Each board member brings lived experience, diverse perspectives, and a commitment to fairness. They independently review the nominations, reflect on the impact and values of each nominee, and then cast their votes.

The final decision is based on the collective board vote, ensuring these awards reflect integrity, accountability, and a broad sense of community recognition
