The 2023 FOCUS45 Amateur Photography Contest

Returning for 2023, The Sunset Project presents its second annual FOCUS45 Amateur Photography Contest as part of its FOCUS45 creative advancement programming. This year's contest will provide Northeast Michigan area photographers with another opportunity to showcase their work to win thousands of dollars worth of gear and other prizes!

The voting process works as follows:

Beginning November 3rd at 10 AM EST, members of the general public will be able to cast "like" votes for their favorite submissions, with a limit of 7 "like" votes per person. The public voting period will close promptly on November 6th at 12 PM EST.

Upon completion of the public voting period, the top 7 submissions (based on the number of public "like" votes) will be invited to a private award ceremony located at Art in the Loft in Alpena, MI. There, a panel of 5 judges consisting of industry professionals and community members will come together and assign prize placements based on specific predetermined criteria.
