Small is beautiful: a focus on nature

Welcome to the Belgian's semester photographic contest

"Small is beautiful"

The Belgian Semester, in collaboration with the JRC Ispra FotoCineClub (FCC), organised a photo competition that has been running from 25 March - 1 May 2024.

The submission process is now closed.

Voting was open from 5 -15 May and is now closed!.

Winners of the competition will be announced online on 22 May (Biodiversity Day).

You will find here the pictures submitted by the participants.

Voting is done by attributing stars to the pictures you like. You can vote on as many pictures as you like.

When voting, please take into account

• the topic: "small is beautiful" in our natural world
• the quality of the picture considering it will be printed (not all pictures have been put here with their highest resolution)
• what your heart tells you

If you submitted yourself a picture, please try to be objective and fair with other submissions.

Because the platform can detect multiple votes from the same devices, votes have been readjusted by the antifraud algorithms of the platform.

The results displayed here are those readjusted but should not be considered final before validation by the Jury!

More details will follow soon!

Most voted pictures (an average is automatically calculated for the voted pictures taking into account all visitors, not only the votes) will be selected for printing and exhibition as well as one selected by the jury.

The most voted picture from a "young participant" will also be printed for exhibition at JRC.

Last but not least, don't forget this is only for fun!

Only two people (G. Dubois and A. Brink) are administrators of this site and will not be part of the voting panel.
