2027 Comfie Cat Shelter Calendar Contest!

Make your cat a star in our 2027 Calendar!

Winners of the Comfie Cat Shelter’s Calendar Contest will be featured on the monthly pages of our 2027 wall calendar, showing off their charm and personality. Whether you adopted your feline friend this year or many years ago, we invite you to submit a photo for our annual tradition

How to Enter:​

• Submissions open on Monday, August 17, 2026 and will close on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at 11:55pm.
• Be sure to read the Photo Guidelines below carefully to ensure your photo meets all requirements.
• Your cat must have been adopted from the Comfie Cat Shelter to be eligible for the contest.

What to Include in Your Submission:

• Why your cat is special to you.
• Your cat’s name, age, adoption date and if you know the cat's original name from Comfie Cat Shelter.
• Your full name for entry purposes (only your first name will be shared publicly).

Important:

• Photos that do not meet the guidelines (see guidelines below) will be disqualified.
• We will not notify entrants if their photo has been disqualified.

How to Win:

A link will be shared on August 31, 2026 via social media. Share the voting link with your friends and family. Be sure to include the hashtags #TheComfieCatShelter #CCSPhotoContest. The top 12 voted cats will be featured in our monthly calendar. Voting is only accepted through the link provided.

Photo Submission:

Submissions Received: August 17, 2026 through August 30, 2026.

Voting takes place: August 31, 2026 through September 13, 2026.

Winners Announced: September 14, 2026.

Publication of the Calendar: Fall 2026.

Photo Guidelines and Criteria

• Only cats adopted from the Comfie Cat Shelter are eligible for the calendar contest.
• Photos may ONLY be submitted via the link provided.
• Photos are not accepted by mail, social media or email, by the link provided only, starting on August 17, 2026.
• LANDSCAPE orientation photos are used for our calendars (see examples below).
• Any PORTRAIT orientation photos will be disregarded.
• Photo size submission MUST be a MINIMUM of 1MB (1000KB) to accommodate enlargement to a maximum of 5MBs.
• Only ONE photo will be accepted per household.
• Photos of multiple cats in one photo are acceptable.
• Submit ONLY colour photos, black and white photos will be rejected.
• Submit ONLY original photo with no manipulations.
• Photo must be SHARP and IN FOCUS, blurry photos they will automatically be rejected.
• Properly 'set the scene' for the photo, as its 'story' is very important.
• Photo MUST be taken by YOU or your friend/relative, and the subject MUST be your cat​.

Photo Release Policy

By submitting a photo into the Comfie Cat Shelter Calendar Contest you agree that the image you are entering is not copyright and is your own personal photo of your own cat. You give permission to the Comfie Cat Shelter to use your cat's photo in our calendar and promotion of said calendar through social media, website and in-person events. You agree that by submitting your cat's photo, you will not receive any monetary compensation.
