Inclusivity Supporting Community Initiative
This award celebrates a project, program, or initiative that actively works to make the sex worker community safer, more welcoming, and inclusive. Whether through accessibility, language, leadership, or outreach, they help build a community where everyone feels seen and supported. Think: a program, resource, or even an event that helps create connection, reduce exclusion, and make a topic or space more accessible, welcoming, and easier to engage with for a wide range of people.
Each board member rates nominees out of 100 points total, divided across the following criteria:
- Does the initiative actively make the community safer, more inclusive, or more accessible?
- Does it reduce barriers (physical, social, linguistic, cultural) for people engaging with the community?
- Who is the initiative aiming to support or uplift?
- Are those communities meaningfully centred in design, leadership, or outcomes?
- What kind of impact has the initiative had (big or small, public or behind the scenes)?
- Has it created tangible improvements in connection, safety, or inclusion?
- Why does this initiative deserve to be celebrated this year in particular?
- Does it represent a model or approach that uplifts the wider community?
- Each board member scores nominees across the four categories.
- Maximum 100 points per nominee.
- Final results are averaged across all board members to determine the winner.
