Limit participants to one vote by IP address
With a PollUnit Online Voting you can quickly and easily create polls for participants with and without an account. In the last weeks we have been asked more and more if we can implement an IP-check to prevent multiple participation of unregistered users.
And now the time has come: you have the possibility to block unregistered participants via the IP address if they have already voted once.
Why have we only now implemented an IP check?
Computers in networks of schools, universities and companies often use the same IP address. Votings within a university should therefore preferably be carried out without an IP check in order not to exclude too many participants.
You can find out more about the security measures you can take in our tutorial Preventing multiple participation.
