From now on, organizers and participants can use PollUnit in »Magyar«, making it even easier to create polls, surveys, photo contests, and voting projects for Hungarian-speaking communities.

Automatic Language Detection

PollUnit automatically detects the preferred language of each visitor whenever possible. Users can also switch languages manually at any time.

This means international projects can easily be used by participants from different countries without additional setup.

More Than Just a Translation

The Hungarian version includes the complete PollUnit interface, allowing organizers and participants to use all major features in Hungarian.

As always, new features added to PollUnit will also become available in Hungarian.

We're excited to introduce a new feature in PollUnit: Option Archiving.

Until now, organizers had to decide whether to keep an option active or delete it entirely. With archiving, there is now a third option.

Archived options remain part of the PollUnit, but they are excluded from rankings and evaluations. Their votes are ignored, while all data remains available and can be restored at any time.

Why Archive Options?

Deleting an option permanently removes it from your workflow. Archiving allows you to hide options from the current ranking without losing submissions, files, comments, or voting history.

This makes it easier to manage large polls, contests, and long-running voting processes.

Ideal for Photo Contests

A common use case is a photo contest with many submissions.

Imagine a contest with 500 photos. After reviewing the results, you decide that only the best 200 photos should continue to the next phase.

Instead of deleting the remaining photos, simply archive them. The contest becomes much easier to manage, while all submissions remain available for later review.

Because archived options no longer influence rankings, organizers can gradually reduce the number of active entries and focus attention on the strongest candidates.

More Flexible Than Starting Over

Some organizers want to conduct voting in multiple rounds. Until now, this often required creating a new PollUnit or resetting votes, which means losing the previous voting results.

Archiving offers a practical alternative. Instead of starting over, you can simply archive the options that should no longer participate and continue working with the remaining entries.

This preserves all submissions and allows you to narrow down the field without deleting data.

The evaluation area now includes multi-select functionality with bulk actions, allowing you to archive or restore multiple options at once.

Creating large votings or surveys with many text options used to be tedious: typing options manually, copying them, or inserting them line by line. With the new »Option Import« feature, you can now import prepared data directly from files.

You can now upload the following file formats:

• Excel files (.xlsx)
• CSV files (.csv)
• Text files (.txt)

The importer scans each row and automatically uses the first non-empty column and, in text files, each line as the option text. This makes it possible to create hundreds of options within seconds.

Instead of creating options manually, you can directly import existing lists from Excel or other tools.

In addition to a tendency between two options, answers can also be given as a single choice (one option) or as multiple choice (multiple options).

What is a PollUnit organization?

A PollUnit organization allows teams to collaborate under a shared workspace. Members of an organization can work together on polls, contests, and surveys while sharing features such as branding, plan limits, and features.

Organizations are especially useful for companies, clubs, agencies, or event teams that create polls regularly and want to manage them centrally.

New: Organization admins

Until now, only the organization owner could manage members. With the new admin role, you can now assign selected members as organization admins.
Organization admins can invite new members to the organization and help manage the team structure. This makes it much easier to manage larger teams and distribute responsibilities.

This small change can make a big difference for teams that use PollUnit regularly. Especially if you manage multiple organizations as an owner, each with its own members and admins.
