Hi — I appreciate that you have the option to select a maximum number of options a user can vote for, but can you please also add the ability to require a minimum they have to vote for? (e.g. "You must vote for at least 5 options")
Thank you!
Could you please clarify where exactly you need a minimum vote feature? I'm not sure I fully understand your request. In a survey with multiple choice, there is no maximum vote setting, so I’m wondering if you might be referring to something else — perhaps to Dot Voting?
Apologies — I must have been confusing it with Dot Voting. Yes, I've noticed that if the voter doesn't have a minimum number of dots they HAVE to use, entrants with more friends/family/fans will often dominate the voting because people will only vote for theirs and ignore the other options. If you could implement the option to require a minimum number of dots, that would be very helpful!
We already have a feature request (not yet implemented) that would require voters to distribute all their dots in a Dot Voting. Would this be helpful for you as well?
Typically, a Dot Voting is configured with a total number of points e.g. 5 dots. With a limit on how many can be assigned to a single option e.g. a maximum of 3 per option. In such cases, requiring voters to use all available dots might be a more suitable approach.
I believe requiring voters to distribute all their dots would solve the problem. Thank you for your help! Looking forward to seeing that implemented soon.
Hi — has there been any update on this feature? I'm hosting a poll at the end of August and would need this feature to be able to use PollUnit. Thanks!
This feature is on our backlog and ranked fairly high in priority. While it’s not yet scheduled for development, it’s expected to be one of the next features we tackle, and we’ll keep you updated as it progresses. Unfortunately, I can’t say whether this feature will be ready by end of August.
