Clarification on Superlative Voting

PollUnit,

I was planning to use the new Superlative Voting for our Halloween costume contest this week.

We will have three categories:
Best Individual Costume
Best Group Costume
Best Office Decorations

UserA and UserB will each upload their individual costume photo
UserC and UserD may have come with a whole group of people in costume and they would upload their group costume photo

I thought from the way I was reading it that once we defined the Superlative categories that when a user uploaded a photo they would tell you which category it was competing for.

We created some checkboxes with the "Request additional image uploader information" to collect that.

When voting begins, we would want category votes to only match the picture category type.

However, today, a user can take a Group Costume photo and award it the Best Individual Costume. Am I doing something wrong? Hopefully that is explained well enough to make sense.

Hello Scott,

When you use voting categories all images are voteable in each voting category. If you want to submit photos to a category where only these photos appear you need to create a PollUnit per category.
You can link each category in the description.

We have planed to make this easier in the future.
