We have a photo contest underway. We'd like to be able to close the poll for new submissions but have it remain open for voting for an additional week. Is this possible?

Yes, that's possible.

The easiest way is to set separate submission and voting deadlines in the Advanced step. You can also change these settings later by editing your contest.

Alternatively, you can do it manually:

  • Click the context menu (three dots in the upper-right corner).
  • Choose Edit.
  • Go to the Advanced step.
  • Disable Allow image upload.

This stops new submissions while keeping the contest open for voting for as long as you like.

This works for photo contests as well as for video contests and music contests.

You can also close a PollUnit, but closing a PollUnit will end submission and voting. So this feature is not that what you are looking for.
