Disable the "Save & Finish" button?

Hello,

Is there a way to disable the "Save & Finish" button when voting in a photo contest, and just jump straight to the Thank You page after clicking a heart below an image? It seems like an extra click that's easy to miss and probably not necessary in this case since a voter can go back and change their vote if they misclicked.

Thanks,

-Dan

Our heart voting and other upvoting methods allow users to vote for multiple options by default. Because of this, the system cannot automatically detect when a user has finished voting. The user must actively decide when they are done.

Are you perhaps using a special setup that restricts voting to only one option? In this case, we could add a feature request to our to-do list.

Hi Markus,

Ah, I see.

Yes, in our case we're using the heart voting but intend for voters to only vote for one photo. I don't see a specific setting restricting it, but clicking on the heart of one photo removes it from another, so it seems like only one can be voted for in our case.

Thanks,

-Dan

Hello Dan,

Then you should have created a Photo Contest with the setting »Voting is allowed for one image only« (advanced step), right? You can also send me the link to your PollUnit (markus@pollunit.com) so I can have a closer look.

Thank you for the mail and link! I will keep the discussion in the support forum so others see the progress of this issue.

Yes, you are right. The »Vote once a day« setup also allows only one vote per option per day. In this case we may be able to forward the user directly. I will open a feature request ticket for our developers. I will keep you posted as soon as I have any updates. This may take a while.
