I have a voting contest going on currently and I have set the limit so that each participant should only be able to vote once but they have 3 stars to use. It seems that participants have found a way around only voting once. Fraud bot is saying that over 87% of participants seem to be fraud. I am not sure exactly how to understand what fraud bot is detecting and how to fix it. Voters should not be able to vote more than once with the same device. Based on the usernames of voters popping up, it definitely looks like people are voting multiple times and I don't know what to do to fix it. HELP!
When setting up your photo contest or voting you have two key sections. A voting configuration setting which describes how voters should be able to vote including on how many images they can vote, if voting is allowed multiple times from the same device and more. The second key section is the security settings which describes how our system secures your voting against cheaters.
PollUnit offers various ways the secure your contest against fraudulent votes. We also have an article about our security options and how to prevent multiple votes. In a nutshell: Making a high security voting means to add some hurdles. Creating a very easy voting without the need of any authentication for voters means the voting has a low security against fraudulent votes. Here Fraud Bot can help and can detect cheaters while keeping voting as simple as possible.
In the security section you see some orange and green lock icons indicating how secure you setting is. You find further information next to each option when clicking the small question mark icon.
In your case with such a high fraud percentage you could delete the fraudsters including there votes by using Fraud Bot in the evaluation or you increase your security level. You may want to consider hiding the current vote count from voters (advanced step when editing your contest)
