Where in the free table do I define the columns? I assumed it was in the setup, but I could not find where.
Where in the free table do I define the columns? I assumed it was in the setup, but I could not find where.
You should be able to do so in the admin link of the tables.
I know I should be able to, but where? When I choose the three dots in the column, my options are: insert column after, insert column before, tags, and delete column
PollUnit offers two types of tables.
The free table does not allow to define a column header. It works more like Excel where the Rows and Columns consist of A, B, C…
The participant table allows you to define table headers. The participant table allows you to collect data of participants while each participant is allowed to fill one row. Maybe this will work for you?
We already have naming of the free table columns on our to do list. It is not yet in development but I will keep you posted here.
Thank you! That would be great to have the editability. I chose Free Table because people can add additional rows, as needed, and that is important. However, they won't know what to put in the columns if I can't label them. Thank you for adding it to the development list.
Feature Release: Editable Column and Row Headlines
Today we released an update that allows admins to edit the column and row headlines. These headlines replace the automatic column identifiers (A, B, C, …) and row identifiers (1, 2, 3, …). You find the rename function in the context menu (three dots) in each column and row header.
If you use calculations such as =SUM(A1:A10), you still need to reference the original column and row identifiers.
