horizontal vs vertical style

can the options be horizontal rows and voters be in vertical columns?

We are sorry, but this is not possible at the moment and would be quite some effort to make this flexible.
We might provide different poll layouts in the future, but I cannot promise anything at the moment.

I have the same need. Dot Voting for example typically is applied, when there are many options to choose from. A vertical layout would make more sense in this case.

You can now choose between a table or list view when creating your poll. You can activate the list view in the first step of the poll creator.
