How do I separate photo contest categories? Can I do separate category pages in the same contest?

I would like to separate the photo contest categories into individual pages or as individual galleries, but have them all part of one contest. Can I do this or something similar, and how?

To clarify, I would like participants to see the photos in a single category, select their favorite, then move on to the next category. Each category contains 2-5 entries, and there are six categories.

we already planed a new feature which will make this very easy, but for now you need a little workaround.

You need to create a photo contest per page. Then you can link each contest / page via the description (first step) or a custom thank you page (advanced step). We also have a cloning feature which will help speed up this workaround.

Alternatively you could also create a survey. This could work if you only have voters and no photo submitters. Our survey allows you to add a »Submit rating« step. Here you can choose as rating object »Pictures, music or files«. Voters can then step through all categories. Voters can also open the images in a lightbox for a fullscreen view.

I would suggest that you try this out, since these two PollUnit types differ significantly in appearance.

Feature Release: »Submission Categories«

When creating a Video, Music, or Photo Contest, you can now add custom submission categories. These categories allow you to divide your contest into different themes or genres. Participants select a category when uploading their entries, and submissions compete only within their chosen category.

You'll find these options in the first step of the contest creation process.
