We have a photo contest with 3 categories, each with a limit of 5 entries. While testing as a non-registered participant I added 5 images and the system prevented me from adding any more as it should. However, I then re-booted my laptop, used the same link to access the PollUnit and was able to continue to add more photos. Have I got something configured wrong?
This depends on your browser settings. By default, a browser stores our cookies for one year. However, if your browser is configured to delete cookies when it restarts, your session will be lost. The same applies when using a private/incognito window, cookies are deleted as soon as you close it. If you log in your PollUnit account while a guest user session is active, the guest user session is lost.
As mentioned in my other response, I recommend requiring a PollUnit account if you expect users to return regularly.
Does this apply is we are requiring SSO via Google?
Using an SSO provider has the same implications as using a PollUnit account with email and password authentication.
