Missing option to apply email domain restrictions to photo submitters

I'm setting up a photo contest where both voters and photo submitters should verify an email address from an approved domain.

Under Advanced → Restrict voting, I've selected “Request Email Confirmation” and “Allow Only Specific Domains.”

The help page mentions “Apply restriction also to visitors / submitters,” but I can't find this checkbox in my photo contest settings.

Is this option available with email domain verification, or only with other authentication methods? Does it depend on the contest type or subscription plan?

I'd like verification to happen before a photo submission is accepted, not just collect an email address or send a confirmation afterward. Has anyone managed to set this up without requiring PollUnit accounts or SSO?

At the moment the request email confirmation setting is not available as a restriction for option submitters.
In this case I would recommend requiring a PollUnit Account, which is a little extra work for the users.
We are going to elaborate, if we can support confirmed email access for submitters in the future.

You could use the approval dashboard. There you can see for each submission, if the submitter confirmed the email address.
