On one pollunit, is it possible de create several category ? (voting group)

On one pollunit, for a photo contest, I would like to create 3 categories (3 themes) with each 10 points to distribute over the options, is it possible or do I have to create 3 pollunits ?

At the moment you need to create a PollUnit per category.
We are currently working on a voting category feature. We're hoping to release this in a few weeks. Once it is release I will post a message here.

This is great. I am also doing a photo comp and it has 6 categories. So we'll do it as 6 PollUnits. Is there a way to group these under one title page, so there is one entry point to the competition?

You can link in each contest to the other contests. You can add those links in the description or in the thank you page if activated.

We also have a landing page feature in our pipeline. You will be able to add several PollUnits to a landing page. But this feature is still in planning.

Feature release: Voting categories

If you run a photo contest with PollUnit you now can add voting categories. Each uploaded image can be rated in custom categories. Winners can be chosen in each category. An overall winner can be chosen as well.

Is there any plan to allow voting categories in other poll types? I would like to have voting categories for image/file voting.

We have already thought about it, but no more detailed plans yet.

Would you vote in the list view or in the table view?
In the table view, depending on the settings, you can see all the voters and their votes. The problem I see here is that it is difficult to display the individual votes per category per user in the table. What are you interested in here? What kind of info do you want to see?

Is there a way to ask photographers/submitters to select the category for which they want their image judged? Ex: Jane wants her photo to be entered into category B, not category A or C.

This can not be done with our voting category feature. All images can be judged in each voting category. You need something like a submitter or topic category (I do not have a good wording yet). We have planed to add this as a feature too.

At the moment you need to create a separate contest per category. You can then link the individual photo contests in the description. With our clone feature you can make a copy of your first contest.
