Having trouble getting my poll to appear embedded on a web page. I have tried inputting the host address and the internal editing page's address.
I am trying to have two different polls appear on two different page. One of the polls seems to be working, but the second poll instead appears as a grey screen with the "pollunit. com refused to connect" error message.
When embedding a poll you need to allowlist your host that PollUnit can be securely loaded. When one of your polls is already working you may have a typo in the allow list? Are both polls embedded on the same domain?
If you need further assistance please reach out to support@pollunit.com with a working link to your webpage so we can check your code.
Thanks for the response Markus. Yes, I've embedded both polls the same way and checked the links. I'll email the address with the links.
Thanks
For other readers experiencing similar issues: The reason for this error was an incorrect host. In this specific case, a subdomain was involved. Subdomains are part of the host that needs to be allowlisted when embedding a poll. So, for example, when your webpage is accessible via https://subdomain.domain.com
, your host that needs to be allowlisted is subdomain.domain.com
.
