We recently completed our campaign and used Fraud Bot to detect suspicious votes.
However, we noticed some potential false positives. Several of my colleagues were flagged as suspicious, even though I personally witnessed them voting independently.
This raises concerns about the accuracy of the detection, especially as we are finalizing the contest winners.
Could you advise on a more reliable way to identify actual bot votes and verify the results before removing any votes?
Thank you for your support!
If your colleagues voted through the same company network, shared technical signals could explain the flags. Fraud Bot identifies suspicious patterns; a flag alone does not prove fraud.
You can compare the voting »DNA« in the results. Greater similarity can indicate suspicious activity, but legitimate voters may also share signals. Please consider this context before removing votes.
With anonymous internet participants, we cannot reliably establish whether each vote comes from a different person. Our guide to preventing multiple participation explains these limitations and stronger safeguards for future contests, such as individual invitations or verified accounts.
If you send us the administration link (support@pollunit.com), we can take a closer look at the flagged votes.
I have send you the administration link yesterday, please help check and let me know if there is a better way to identify the fraud bot better. Thanks.
I have a meeting in a few minutes about this topic with one of our developers. I will be right back to you.
