I've read through the terms for PollUnit but cannot find any information on the rights of uploaded files/images.
Can you point me to the correct sections of the Terms of Use, where you state something like "File/images uploaded are the sole property of the uploader and will only be used by Pollunit for display in the Survey where it was uploaded. Any files/images removed from a pollunit or if a complete Survey is removed, the related files/images will not kept or used in any way by Pollunit."
As I wrote I do not expect you to have this exact text in your terms, but rather something that gives a similar statement.

In a nutshell: We are a service provide. So we do not sell or use any data of our customers for other purposes than offering our service.
Please see our privacy policy: We do not have a paragraph that specifically deals with images. We treat all our customers' data with the same care (including images, text, audio, video). You find some info for deletion in section »4. Collection of data when creating a survey«. In Appendix 5 (), for example, you will find the following…
"The Processor will not…
a) collect, retain, use, disclose or otherwise process any personal information processed in
connection with the Services for any purpose other than as necessary for the specific purpose of
performing Services on behalf of Controller;
b) collect, retain, use or disclose the Controller Data for a commercial purpose other than providing
the Services on behalf of the Controller;
c) sell the Controller Data."
Deletion of data is also part of our dpa which can be signed as a business user in the »My account« section. Currently the deletion of data section »10. Deletion of data« looks like this (2022-12-08):
"Personal data, processing results as well as data stocks in connection with the contractual
relationship can be independently deleted from the system at any time by the controller. The data will
be marked as deleted for 30 days for restoration and finally deleted after 30 days in accordance with
data protection regulations. The Contractor shall delete the data immediately upon request for
deletion by the Customer. Temporary backup copies, which are automatically deleted after 7 days, are
excluded from this. In this case, the contractor must ensure that the data is kept confidential."
