Hi. I am creating a picture voting, where there will be approx 1,500 voters and 23 pictures.
My questions:
- If I use "Star Rating" will each picture show how many stars the picture got? (And if not, then will the "average" show parts of stars?)
- If the "Star Rating" does not add up all stars, what is the next best option? I would like to allow everyone to give up to 5 stars/dots/hearts etc for each picture and then be able to tally up the total of stars/hearts/dots/likes or whatever, to find the picture that got most.
I have purchased a 1 month "Business" option.
Thanks
Pete
Or is Range Voting what I am looking for? (Your explanations for the different options is lacking substance!)
Hi Pete!
If you choose the star rating, the average rating is shown on each image. You can choose how the average should be calculated. You can choose to count only the participants who voted for the picture or to count all participants of the contest, including those who voted for a completely different picture.
Admins can also export the results to Excel/CSV including a sum row.
Here you see the difference of star and range voting: https://pollunit.com/en/tutorials/range_voting
In you case I think the star rating is the better choice. With range voting you can create votings with much higher scales for example ratings between 0 and 100 points.
Thanks for fast reply! So back to my question: Can I see the total of all stars that a picture was given by all participants? Or just the average of the stars a picture was given by all participants?
Example: If all our 1,500 participants give a picture one star that is 1,500 stars. But it averages at one star.
Yes, you see both. The total amount of stars can be only seen in the evaluation (context menu / three dots) or via the excel / csv export.
Thanks. Sounds like the stars is the way to go!
Can the total amount of stars be seen in the evaluation features of a Premium Account, or only in a Business Account via the excel/csv export?
You also see the total amount of stars via the context menu of each option when clicking »Participants« or in the evaluations summary.
We have just published a small update, which now shows the sum/total amount also in the »Options/Images« evaluation section. I hope this helps.
