When a user votes on a poll the stats on the back end don't show what the user voted for

I just tested it. Pulled the title "Check In Here" to the top of my ranking (top is best right?)

Then I go to look at the results and it shows that "Check in Here" got ranked as a 10.

Is this a bug, or does a #1 on the voting section mean the best, but in the results a #10 is the best? Either way, it's not working…lol…as that is quite confusing to the poll creator.

You're right, this is a bit confusing.

For ranked voting, the chart currently shows the distribution of ranking points, not the finishing positions. The highest-ranked option receives the maximum number of points (e.g. 10 points in a poll with 10 options, or 5 points in a poll with 5 options), while the lowest-ranked option receives 1 point.

I agree that this can easily be mistaken for the distribution of positions. We'll have a look at improving the visualization to make it clearer. Thanks for pointing this out!

of course, more than happy to help man.

as for the points, yeah the visualization could be better for sure. for starters, you should sort those displays to show the one with the highest average score at the top.

on the voting screen where users are ranking them, might also help to put a #1, so the users know that means it's their #1 pick….as opposed to 1 point, and 10 points for the one in the 10th slot.

That's a good idea! I add this to the issue.
