HI - we created a photo contest for Earth Day. We have 3 businesses, each with a separate email address, under the umbrella of one company. CBORD, who created the poll, has distributed the voting to employees and they can vote without issue. The other 2 companies, that we forward the invite to (we forward to one person to distribute) are getting an error message "to vote you need a valid unused invitation". How do we resolve?
If you are using our invitation required feature our system generates unique invitation links per invitation. Once an invitation is used the invitation is invalidated. So if you forward an invalidated invitation the receiver can not vote.
You have three possibilities to resolve this:
- You need to use the invitation form and invite your users via PollUnit
- You generate manual invitation links per voter via the admin link and forward each invitation link yourself
- You reduce the security level in the advanced step of your voting
