Hi, I've been using invitation only unique links directly. Now, I'd like to send an invitation to my broader email list. How do I send the email so that participants will still get a unique link? Also, how do I mark those participants separately from the first group of voters? Thanks!
If you have set »Invitation required« as security mechanism, you can generate unique invitation links manually and send them yourself. You can find the function for this in the admin link in the »Invite« tab.
I'm not sure what you mean by mark participants, but you could use the Collect URL parameters feature to pass on any data via the URL. This data will then be visible in the evaluation. You can set up URL parameters in the advanced step.
But if I'm sending a mass email to the list I can't generate unique links per email. Does pollunit auto generate new uniques for folks who just land on the photo contest from the generic participant link?
No, the »Invitation required« feature requires a valid unique link. Automatically generating links for all visitors would defeat the purpose of this feature. Here you find a list of our voting security mechanisms.
If you are not using the »Invitation required« feature, you can simply share the participant link. You can still add a URL parameter to the participant link to track these visitors.
If this is not an option, you can still copy paste all receivers into the PollUnit invite modal. Then PollUnit will generate uniq links vor all invitees (but without URL parameter).
