Allow Multiple Votes / Participation

We want to do a fundraising photo contest where people pay for each vote. Is it possible to ALLOW multiple votes? And, if so, can you track how many times each person voted?

Thank you!

At the moment, all voters have equal privileges within our system. Therefore, all voters have the same number of votes / points that they can distribute.

You can configure a PollUnit so you can vote as often as you want. But you can't make sure that only a certain person can vote more than once.

Maybe it makes sense that you use our invitation required feature for this. You could send users who have paid an invitation that is only valid for a certain email. After voting you could export the data and manually multiply the votes by the purchased factor.

Thanks for the response.
We don't want to make sure that only a CERTAIN person can vote more than once. We want EVERYONE to be able to vote as many times as they want.
For instance, Someone submits a photo of their pet, and votes for it 10 times to be sure it's one of the top vote getters. After the contest closes, we see which photos received the most votes–and therefore will be in the resulting calendar–and we also determine how many times each person voted and collect $1 per vote from them.
The goal is to allow anyone and everyone to vote as many times as the want and to be able to count those votes after the fact. Is this possible?

In the advanced step you can enable »Allow multiple participations with one device«. If this is activated a voter can click a button »New participant« to start a new voting.

In the »Allow voting« section you find »Request additional participant information«. Here you should ask your voters for any identification. You can create and customize input fields here. Maybe a email address is sufficient? After that you can export the data or view it in the evaluation.

Thank you.
It seems, the short answer is "yes". People can vote multiple times.
I'll have to go ahead and start the process to be sure I understand how this is set-up.

Feature release: Donate-to-Vote

When creating a photo contest you can now ask for fees and donations in the advanced step. It is also possible to sell votes like you requested. This way a voter can buy multiple votes for a single photo. For this you need a PollUnit wallet connected to a stripe account. Read more in our donations and fees tutorial.

I want to know the currency in the entry for photo contest. Is it USD? because it is not shown in the payment page.

When setting up a PollUnit wallet, you establish a connection between your PollUnit wallet and your Stripe wallet. Subsequently, the currency used in your PollUnit wallet becomes identical to the currency in your Stripe wallet. The fee we charge is a percentage of the payment, and this fee is equivalent to the currency of the payment or the wallet.
