I have created a new poll, based on last year's version (duplicate). Last year's version is a closed poll.
I have several users who cannot vote with the message "You already voted. This computer is locked for further participation" even though they have not voted on this new poll (they did vote on the old one).
They get the message immediately, so there is no voting record in the participants list.
What can be done?

Did you use IP check? Sometimes users in the same (corporate) network share the same IP address.

You could use a less secure setting and rely on our fraud bot to detect suspicious votes. Some browsers like Safari use a privacy setting where they tunnel traffic through their own network, which might also lead to false positives when detecting duplicate IPs.
