It would be wonderful to be able to search for terms within idea collections as well as the title, creator, etc. It is currently hard to find one particular idea submission across multiple open polls. A free search (for any instance of a word, regardless of where it appears) would be great.

Searching for title, description and creator already works. You can not combine them in one search, for example search for creator and a word in the description.
Thank you. I meant in addition to title, creator and description. Like a free search for any text, including within poll responses. I understand it may not be possible.
You want to find a PollUnit in the »My PollUnit« section and not a idea in a PollUnit idea collection?
I just wanted to be able to search across idea collection polls for a specific word(s) given in the responses. Sorry that I am not being clear.
