How to change data displayed on a PollUnit after voting is completed

We kicked off our photo contest voting last Monday and used PollUnit to display all entries during a membership Zoom meeting that evening. This was great because in the past, someone had to create a PowerPoint for this, which was a lot of work for 221 photos! For that and for voting, we did not want members and voters to see votes or the names and other personal information submitters entered on the data form - only the image title, so used the appropriate settings to accomplish this.

However once voting is over, we'd like to use PollUnit again in a couple of ways, but be able to display the submitters name and final rank of the image. It appears I will not be able to change the settings to make this happen. Any suggestions so we can avoid creating a PowerPoint for post-voting uses? I should explain that we did not use the 'creator' field.

You can change the visibility settings even if a photo contest voting has finished or has been closed.

If you require additional information from your submitters you can make this information also visible for participants. This way participants find a small square icon in the bottom right corner of our lightbox / slideshow which toggles this information.

Well perhaps I have messed this up. I cannot find where I created the questions for submitters when I edit the PollUnits that are being voted on right now. If I go to Edit one of these PollUnits, the only setting I can find for additional information is "Request additional information from voters". That is unchecked. I don't remember if there was a setting like this to collect additional information from submitters. If so, I can't find it now. I'm wondering if this was it and I unchecked before voting started because I did not want to collect information from voters, only submitters. Or does voting have to be ended to see this setting?

»Request additional image uploader information« can be found in the advanced step within the »Allow image upload« section. The settings of this section are only visible when »Allow image upload« is enabled.

If you manually toggle the submission period instead of using the »Submission Start and Deadline« feature, you may need to temporarily enable »Allow image upload« to make the necessary changes and then disable it again afterward.

Oh, that's why I could not find it. I did not use Submission Start and Deadline. I have Allow image upload disabled so only voting can happen now. I will try your suggestion on a clone so I know what to do later. Thanks!

Say, it would be nice if there was an option to display one of the additional information fields in addition to the title ON the slide. Then it would not be necessary to toggle on the sidebar with additional information when you only want to show one data field for something like this. I think that sidebar takes up more room than displaying another line of text.

By the way, in case it is helpful to know, the reason I did not use the creator field for the name of the submitter is twofold:

  • I wanted separate fields for the first and last name
  • The submitter has to be the creator in our contest, so I did not want to confuse anyone about this.
