Allow the voter to add options to the poll.

Is it possible to allow voters to add a response option to the question—one that is then incorporated into the ongoing poll (without interrupting it, and with each voter able to change their vote at any time)?

Yes, this is possible with PollUnit.

Most of our poll types, such as our Voting, allow participants to add their own response options. You can enable this in the »Advanced« step by activating »Allow new options«.

There are also additional features for managing participant submissions, such as an Approval Dashboard where new options can be reviewed before they become available to other voters.

Participants can change their votes at any time without interrupting the ongoing poll until you close the voting period or the complete poll.

Our Survey product currently does not support adding new response options by participants. If you need this functionality specifically for a survey, feel free to describe your use case in a little more detail. We can then take a look at whether this could be added as a new feature.
