Music for Halloween Photo Contest

Is it possible to add a music clip to a photo contest cover page? Just wanted to add some festive Halloween music on the invitation

At the moment we do not offer adding background music to PollUnit, but I really like the idea. You say you want to add it to the invitation. Does this mean you want music in the invitation email? I am pretty sure, that this will not work for most or all of the email clients. But playing music on your photo contest would work. Could you clarify this an tell me a little bit more how this should work?

I would suggest we have a tiny player fixed to the window on the front page so users can easily switch the music on and off. Since the lightbox or gallery view opens in an overlay, viewing entries would seamlessly play the music.

Good news! We've just released background music for PollUnit!

We initially planned to offer a selection of music tracks directly in the Design step. However, some licensing questions came up that the music providers haven't been able to answer yet.

For now, you can upload your own music to your PollUnit themes. A small music player allows participants to pause or resume playback at any time.

There are a few things worth knowing:

• Not all browsers allow music to play automatically. In some cases, playback will only start after the first user interaction, such as opening the gallery. I actually think that's quite a nice moment for the music to kick in!
• Participants can pause the music whenever they like. We remember their preference, so they don't have to turn it off again every time they visit.
