I am organizing a photo contest for two schools and we have got three age categories. How can I physically sort out the photos into the three categories, so that people can vote in those three categories more easily? Or must I create three separate photo contests?

at the moment you have to create separate contests, because we have not yet categories in the contests.
We are going to implement this in the future, but I can't give you an exact date.

Feature Release: »Submission Categories«
When creating a Video, Music, or Photo Contest, you can now add custom submission categories. These categories allow you to divide your contest into different themes or genres. Participants select a category when uploading their entries, and submissions compete only within their chosen category.
