The new voting type »Emoji Voting« allows participants to express their feelings with the help of smileys and makes PollUnit your online smiley feedback system. Smiley voting is very easy to understand and ideal for polling customer satisfaction or happiness at work.
Over 3 or 5 emojis from »Dissatisfied« to »Satisfied« or from »Angry« to »Very satisfied« the votes are given. Particularly negative and particularly positive votes are increasingly rated.
The evaluation helps to identify the most important parameters to increase customer or employee satisfaction.

It is now possible to add sketchpads to your survey in addition to the familiar input types such as form fields and votings. Here participants can draw, paint and also sign directly.
Use this feature to collect design ideas, explain complicated issues with a sketch or just for a fun survey with your friends!

Rate options and images in surveys
Within your online survey, you can now carry out several ratings. You can use the same voting types as in our votings. Our most popular voting types include star ratings, simple upvoting with hearts or thumbs, and dot voting.
This allows participants in your survey to prioritize and rate options. Options can be anything that can be expressed in text, as well as files, music, images and photos. You can upload your images directly to PollUnit and we will create a small preview and a high-resolution derivative for full-screen mode for each image. Products and designs can be presented to your customers and feedback can be gathered.
Options and images are optimized for desktop devices and mobile phones. Thus, participants can comfortably cast their votes and fill out the questionnaire from home on their computer and laptop or on the go with their mobile phone.
In the PollUnit real-time analysis you get all kinds of insights about votes cast and the performance of the individual options and images.

Rate options and images in ...Happy Birthday PollUnit UG
Dear PollUnit users,
we would like to inform you that our application PollUnit will be transferred to a new company. PollUnit will run in the future in our new company PollUnit UG (haftungsbeschränkt) and no longer in the Blutvoll Media Agentur UG (haftungsbeschränkt).
Basically nothing will change for you. Your contact persons and the whole team behind PollUnit remain unchanged. All previous services and contracts, which you have concluded with Blutvoll Media Agentur, will be taken over by PollUnit and will continue without interruption. PollUnit UG will take over the business from April 1, 2021.
For us, life will be a bit easier, we have to take care of less bureaucracy and thus have more time for new PollUnit features.
For questions we are of course gladly available.

Change your voting layout for faster feedback!
With today's update we make PollUnit a bit more your online voting tool. Many of our users wished to be able to change the layout of votings. Besides the tabular view, where options and participants are visible, there is now also a simplified list view.
In the list view, all options available for voting are displayed one below the other. So the participants can easily navigate through all options and assign their votes.
You will find the setting right in the first step when creating your vote. A small preview shows you how your vote will look like.
The list view is recommended if there are a lot of options to vote for, or the votes of the participants are hidden or only secondary. If the votes of the participants are not hidden, they can be queried via the context menu of the respective option. As admin you can also analyze and export participants and votes in the PollUnit evaluation.

Change your voting layout f...Secure votings with our new invitation features
With the »Invitation Required« feature, you can ensure that only Invitees can vote and access your PollUnits. Our update today extends this feature as follows:
If a person is invited, they will receive an email with a one-time link. If this one-time link is used, it cannot be used by other participants.
Previously, only people with PollUnit accounts could be invited or invited people had to register before they could participate. Now a registration is no longer necessary and it is now possible to limit the participation also to invited persons without a PollUnit account.
You can decide if an invitation is required only for voting or also for access. If you activate »Allow access with invitation only« only invited persons are allowed to see the PollUnit. If this option is deactivated, all people can see the PollUnit, but only invited people can vote.
In the invite dialog you can invite the participants by email. PollUnit will then automatically send a unique link per email address. It is now possible to write your own invitation text for the invitees.
You can also generate your own one-time links and share them e.g. via email or send them via WhatsApp, Threema, Signal etc. and make sure that everyone can vote only once.

Adding a security layer for sharing admin rights
When you make your own voting poll, two random links are generated. A public participation link for the voters and an additional link for admins. Depending on the link the visitors get different rights. Without knowing the exact address, the PollUnits cannot be accessed by third parties. So even without a PollUnit account polls can be created and administrated together.
If you create a PollUnit with an account, the admin link is only accessible for you and members of your organization. If you want to share admin rights with other users, you have to activate the admin link for others. This new security setting is only possible with a PollUnit account.
You can find the new setting directly in your PollUnit in the »Admin link« tab. With a click on »Make admin link accessible for others« you activate or deactivate the public admin link.

Adding a security layer for...A new invitation workflow for our poll maker
Right from the start, you were guided through five simple steps when using our poll website to create your votings. From the basic settings, to the content of your poll, the design, advanced settings and last but not least the invitation to your PollUnit. That changes now!
The last step »Invite« is removed. Instead you will be directed to your PollUnit. Here you can see what you have created and may make changes. The functions from the »Invite« step are now directly accessible in your PollUnit. We have also simplified switching between admin- and participant view. The workflow is now: Configure > Check > Invite. We think that feels really good - but we are always happy about feedback!
At this point, we would also like to thank you for all the feedback, which has led us to make this change.
The workflow changes for all our PollUnit types.

Improved security and productivity with Single-Sign-On (SSO)
Single-Sign-On allows your users to authenticate themselves to PollUnit using the existing identity providers of your company. This means that your users only have to register once in the company network and can then use the services of PollUnit without a new user name and password.
The saved login time and reduced administrative effort increases productivity and usability for your employees. Since your employees do not have to create, update or reset any additional passwords, the SSO procedure also increases security and reduces the workload of your IT department.
As an Enterprise customer, you can now register one Single-Sign-On-Provider per PollUnit organization.

Improved security and produ...Video contests now also available with Vimeo content
After we released our YouTube video contests as a public beta version about 4 weeks ago, we now have the first update. You can now also add videos from the video portal Vimeo.
Vimeo is a platform where anyone can upload their own videos via a free account. PollUnit now allows you to combine these videos into a video contest and vote on the content. The usual PollUnit evaluation methods are available to you. Besides Vimeo videos, YouTube videos can also be added.
